Dr. Deupree's article on the ever-changing landscape of retina care and the newer anti-VEGF treatments was published in the Pinellas Medical Journal.

In an effort to stay abreast of the countless advances in high-quality medical care, west central Florida physicians and surgeons of all facets of health care read the Pinellas County Medical Association's quarterly journal, Pinellas Medical Journal (PMJ).

PMJFor the Winter, 2010 PMJ volume, the editors of the journal asked Dr. Deupree to write an update article describing ophthalmology's use of anti-VEGF medications -- to date, the most promising treatment in the long history of fighting wet macular degeneration (AMD).

Click here to read his article about how he and some of his vitreo-retina colleagues have extended the use of these promising new drugs to treat non-AMD cases like branch retinal vein occlusion and diabetic macular edema.
